First responders in Bristol Virginia form a coalition to show support for the 2020 Hotel and Casino Referendum. Over 20 public safety officials, including Bristol, Virginia Police Chief John Austin and Bristol Virginia Fire Chief Mike Armstrong are backing First Responders For Bristol, designed to urge Bristol, Virginia residents to vote yes in the upcoming referendum. The Hard Rock resort is expected to create more than two thousand good paying jobs and is projected to generate annual city revenue of between 16 and 21 million dollars, equaling nearly half of the city’s current budget.
