NEW: Kingsport utility crews repairing water line break on Memorial Boulevard
Several Kingsport, Tennessee communities will be impacted by a water line break reported by the city Wednesday afternoon.
Utility crews will be repairing the damaged section of the water system into the evening, according to the statement. Workers are currently in the area of Memorial Boulevard just west of Harbor Chapel Road.
Residents with water service should boil their water as a precaution, the city works department advised.
Households and businesses in the following areas could experience low or no water pressure until repairs are complete:
– Cooks Valley
– Indian Springs
– Wahoo Valley
– Fall Creek
– Dunlap Road
– Airport Parkway
Customers are advised to let their faucets run for a brief period once full service is restored to allow air to escape and clear-up any cloudy water issues.
