Bristol Tennessee Compiles Historic District Design Guidelines

Bristol, Tennessee planning officials have compiled Historic District Design Guidelines for those involved in the restoration of historic structures within Bristol. Design guidelines assist property owners in maintaining and enhancing the appearance of their properties. Much of the guidelines, which are voluntary addresses such things as storefronts, entrances and doors, windows and roofs, signs, lighting and parking in the Commercial Historic District. Guidelines for residential properties include many of the same issues as well as driveways, walkways, garages and outbuildings.
