New poll numbers from Roanoke College show Biden leading Trump, president’s job rating at 43 percent
Poll numbers released this week by Roanoke College indicate a slight percentage of Republicans plan to cast a ballot for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Six percent of participants who identified themselves as members of the GOP said they plan to vote for the Vice President while 4 percent of Democrats admitted they plan to cross over and vote for President Donald Trump.
The results of the survey completed by 600 likely voters across the state show Biden continues to have a double-digit lead on Trump whose favorable job rating in the Commonwealth stands at 41 percent.
In another poll question, the economy was selected as the main issue in this election with the pandemic ranking second, followed by race relations, Supreme Court nominations, and civil unrest.
A whopping 75 percent of those questioned by the college said the United States is on the wrong track overall.
