Northam Announces More Than 65 Million Dollars To Shore Up Child Care Access During Pandemic
Virginia Governor Ralph Northam says the ongoing COVID-19 response and recovery depends upon having a child care system that is both accessible and operational and on Wednesday announced more than 65 million dollars in new funding to support the initiative. The new investment is supported by a total of 65 point eight million dollars in Coronavirus Relief Fund dollars and reallocation of seven and a half million dollars in Child Care and Development Block Grants. The new funding will help continue support for working families and enable more programs to safely provide in person child care.
