Unicoi County Schools to end the fall semester on completely remote instruction
Unicoi County Schools have become the latest school system in Northeast TN to chose to end the fall semester with complete remote instruction.
Director of Schools John English said in a letter to families Sunday that the change to full virtual classes would begin Tuesday Dec. 1 and continue through the remaining days of the semester, with the decision coming due to staffing issues. Students were not attending school Monday due to a development day for staff to prepare for the transition.
English said the school system hopes to return to in-person learning beginning next semester. A video published with more information about the change can be viewed by clicking here.
