Report: Hawkins County dad left drugs, hatchet in reach of toddler
A Hawkins County, Tennessee man faces numerous charges after an arresting officer finds deadly drugs and a hatchet within the reach of his toddler.
Jeremy Jenkins of Rogersville was jailed early Monday for child endangerment, possession of drugs, and assault on an officer among other violations after the deputy checked on the child’s health following a car crash.
Jenkins, 23, became combative with the policeman after being doused with pepper spray then trying to wrestle a stun gun away from the officer before he was cuffed.
