Virginia Releases Report On Marijuana Legalization

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and the Virginia Marijuana Legalization Work Group on Monday released a 400 page report that details how the Northam Administration plans to advance marijuana legalization in Virginia. The report is the result of a diverse, stakeholder-driven process involving community leaders, healthcare professionals, policy experts, and government officials. The document focuses on taxation, banking, criminal justice, licensing and regulation and consumer safety. The Governor recently announced his support for legalizing adult use pot in the Commonwealth and says new laws will be passed to make sure Virginia legalizes the weed the right way.
