TDH: State educators now able to receive support through COVID-19 phone line
A COVID-19 emotional support line is now available for all teachers across the state of Tennessee.
The mental health hotline has been expanded to provide free and confidential support to educators from trained volunteer mental health professionals for those experiencing increasing anxiety and stress due to the ongoing pandemic.
This hotline was set up in May by the state’s department of mental health and substance abuse services for COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers and first responders, but has now grown to include educators.
The hotline number is 888-642-7886 and is available to call daily from 7 a.m-11 p.m.
