NEW: Sullivan County Board of Education meeting in emergency session Thursday to discuss schedule
The Sullivan County, Tennessee Board of Education is scheduled to hold an emergency session Thursday afternoon.
The statement sent by the office of Director of Schools David Cox says the purpose of the meeting is to discuss the operating schedule for the system as their holiday break approaches.
Several schools within Sullivan County have had to switch from hybrid classroom time to online instruction due to COVID cases and quarantines in recent weeks.
The meeting is set to begin at 4:30 pm at the Sullivan Central High School Little Theater. Under board policy, public comment will not be permitted. The system is also making the meeting available on their official YouTube channel.
