Town of Greeneville to livestream New Year’s Eve Ball Drop due to COVID-19

The Town of Greeneville will ring in the new year with a different look as the New Year’s Eve’s ball drop will be virtual this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Organizer Amy Rose said Friday in a news release that the event will take place at an undisclosed location to prevent large crowds from gathering.

The virtual drop will be scheduled to start at 11:45 p.m and livestreamed on the Town of Greeneville Facebook page.
