Suspect accused of crashing into Johnson City police cruiser during Monday afternoon chase
A suspect in a dangerous police chase through the streets of Johnson City Monday afternoon was scheduled to appear in Washington County Sessions Court.
Nathan Hicks, 46, is charged with two counts of felony evading and one count of felony reckless endangerment, and aggravated assault, according to a police report.
Hicks’ vehicle was spotted in the Walmart parking lot just after 12:30 on Browns Mill Road and it matched the description of the van involved in a hit-and-run last week.
The chase extended onto Roan Street and State of Franklin Road. Hicks used his van to strike and disable a police cruiser during the pursuit. He was caught when he tried to run the van through a fence.
