UPDATE: Man shot by Greene County deputies after trying to torch home formally charged
The Indiana man accused of trying to torch a home last week in Greene County who was then shot by responding police officers has been officially charged.
Records from Sessions Court say Mark A. Hanselman, 55, is charged with theft up to $1,000 and aggravated burglary in connection with the Dec. 10 incident on Laughlin Road.
Only a few details were released by the TBI into the officer-involved shooting. The homeowner saw Hanselman try to set fire to the dwelling and after deputies arrived, the agency said the situation escalated and the suspect was wounded by gunfire.
