Buchanan PSA: Utility relief program launched to help customers past payment due to pandemic
The Buchanan County, Va Public Service Authority has been awarded funds to help residents with utility payments past due related to the ongoing pandemic.
Executive Director Bob Anderson says those funds came from the department of housing and community development and range from the period of March 1st to Dec 31st of this year. The Service Authority will accept applications from individuals and businesses in need by appointment only at the Deel Office in Oakwood. A customer intake form and certain criteria must be met to qualify.
The program will begin on Dec. 14 and end on Jan. 22 on a first come first serve basis. Call the County’s Public Service Authority to schedule an appointment at 276-935-5827.
