Virginia United States Senator Asking Public To Double Down On COVID Prevention Efforts

Virginia United States Senator Mark Warner held a conversation with local health care leaders on Tuesday and said it’s important that southwest Virginians keep up their guard against the Coronavirus.Health. Health care leaders from Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia participated in the zoom meeting with Warner. Ballad Health COO Eric Deaton says the health care provider’s recent move to stop elective surgeries during the COVID surge won’t be enough if the public doesn’t follow CDC and local guidelines and advice. Deaton asked Senator Warner for help with additional testing and also expressed concerns about future supplies of PPE for local front line health care employees.
