Kingsport Police: One dead, another in critical condition following shooting Tuesday night

Kingsport Police are investigating a shooting that has left one dead and another in critical condition.

Officers say the incident happened Tuesday night just before midnight in the 4100 block of Skyland Dr. where when they arrived, two individuals had been shot in the roadway but they were already transported privately to the hospital. One unidentified victim is in critical condition, while the other victim, identified as Josephine Helmandollar, died from her injuries.

A suspect has not yet been identified or arrested, and anyone with information on the incident should call Kingsport Police.
