Waste Center in Washington County, VA closed Thursday due to COVID incident

Officials in Washington County, VA say a COVID incident at the Solid Waste Convenience Station on Gate City Highway will keep the facility closed throughout Thursday.

A deep cleaning will take place before it is expected to reopen on Friday. Administrators say anyone that visited this location in the last week is encouraged to get tested for COVID-19.
