Votes wanted in process of rebranding Sullivan South High in 2021

Sullivan County Schools are in the process of rebranding the high schools that will transition to middle schools in the fall of 2021 with West Ridge High opening its doors.

A survey will go live on Friday to allow residents to vote on suggested names, mascots, and colors for the Sullivan South facility in Kingsport.

A committee narrowed the names down to three finalists: Sullivan Heights, Sullivan West, or West Valley Middle. Mascot nominees include Hawks, Huskies, or Wolfpack.

A similar survey was conducted earlier this month to help rename the Sullivan Central High facility. Those recommendations will be presented to Board of Education members next month.
