ETSU men’s basketball program achieves NCAA virus protocols, host UAB on Saturday
The East Tennessee State men’s basketball squad is prepping for its home opener this weekend following bouts with the pandemic.
The program in Johnson City has experienced multiple shutdowns due to several COVID-19 cases including some reported isolations last week. School officials announced their scheduled game with UAB will tip off Saturday after NCAA protocols were followed.
ETSU Athletics issued a statement on Dec. 8 that no spectators will be allowed to attend Buccaneer sporting events through the end of the month as Johnson City and the region continue to be a federally and state-identified hot spot for the virus.
