Hawkins Man Allegedly Throws Drinking Buddy From Moving Vehicle

A Hawkins County man has been arrested on a sealed indictment for aggravated assault after allegedly throwing his drinking buddy out of a moving vehicle. The incident put the victim, Jeffery Adams in a coma and possibly causing permanent brain damage.44 year old Wayne Douglas Morelock or Rogersville admitted to punching Adams in the head multiple times with the back of his hand while driving along Van Hill Road in Beech Creek. But Police believe Adams was thrown from the moving vehicle by Morelock. Both men were highly intoxicated after a night of drinking. Adams remains in a nursing home unable to care for himself.
