Police: Coeburn man accused of abducting 10-year old, stabbing man and assaulting woman
A Coeburn, VA man is facing malicious wounding and abduction charges after police say he kidnapped a child, and stabbed and assaulted a man and woman.
The Wise County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a home on Northhampton Rd. in Wise on Monday where police had found a home had been forcibly entered into, a man stabbed, and a woman assaulted, while a 10-year old child had allegedly been taken by force by non-custodial parent Reece Mullins, 41.
Mullins was later arrested by Tennessee Highway Patrol following a traffic stop in Greeneville and the child was found to be unharmed. Both the man and woman have been released from the hospital, while Mullins is in jail in TN awaiting extradition back to VA.
Mullins faces charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit felony, aggravated malicious wounding, malicious wounding, and abduction by force.
