Vaccine Update: More than 183,000 vaccines administered across Northeast TN and Southwest VA
The amount of coronavirus vaccinations administered in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia continues to grow as the region works to fend off the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Data from the Virginia Department of Health said as of Monday, nearly 20,000 Southwest Virginians are fully vaccinated from COVID-19. A total of 74,568 COVID doses have been administered across the three Southwest Virginia health districts that include the Cumberland Plateau, LENOWISCO, and Mount Rogers Districts. Washington County continues to lead the way in the region with 15,313 doses administered while 4,498 of the county’s residents are fully vaccinated

Grayson- 2,181 (523 fully vaccinated)
Lee- 2,780 (611 fully vaccinated)
Norton- 1,277 (331 fully vaccinated)
Russell- 5,374 (1,400 fully vaccinated)
Scott- 3,511 (942 fully vaccinated)

Meanwhile in Northeast Tennessee, more than 109,000 doses have been administered as of Sunday, and all seven counties are reporting that at least 10% of their population has received one of two vaccine doses. Below is the Northeast Tennessee vaccination county-by-county breakdown:

Greene- 12,946 (12.41% with at least one dose; 6.31% with both doses)

Johnson- 2,536 (10.10% with at least one dose; 4.16% with both doses)
Sullivan- 36,499 (14.05% with at least one dose; 8.96% with both doses)
Unicoi- 4,499 (15.93% with at least one dose; 9.17% with both doses)
Washington- 34,007 (16.15% with at least one dose; 10.06% with both doses)
