Bristol, VA Police searching for hit and run suspect accused of striking pedestrian
Bristol, Virginia Police are searching for a woman accused of hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene.
Officers were called to the Highland Avenue and Prince Street intersection on March 1 just before 8:00 p.m where they found an adult female pinned under a part of a vehicle. The female told authorities she had just got out of her parked vehicle when she was struck, and driver April Rice, 37, of Bristol, VA, allegedly fled the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery.
Rice is charged with leaving the scene of a crash where injury occurred, motor vehicle theft, and no valid drivers license. Anyone with information on her location should contact Bristol, VA police at 276-645-7400.
