TDOT releases video on traffic pattern design of Boones Creek Road interchange
Work continues to improving the Boones Creek exit on Interstate 26, but drivers will find a new traffic pattern to follow when in the area.
Crews have developed the Boones Creek Road interchange into a diverging diamond interchange, a crisscross pattern that allow two directions traffic to temporarily cross opposite sides of the road to travel across an overpass before crossing back over.
The goal of the design is safety improvements and alleviating traffic congestion.
