Family Foundation, Community Leaders And Concerned Parents Hold Press Conference

The family foundation of Virginia, an advocate for policies based on biblical principles and promoting strong families is hosting a press conference Thursday afternoon in Russell County, with community leaders and concerned parents over mandated Transgender- Issues and School Policies. The group will outline how Richmond based attempts to mandate a one size fits all policy onto local communities disrespects local control and parental rights. The press conference will also include a legal perspective, including updates on a lawsuit challenging the Virginia Department of Education’s Model Policies for the treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s pubic schools. The Russell County School Board is expected to vote on the issue after the conclusion of the press conference.
