Richmond Faith Based Group Holds Conference With Concerned Russell County Parents

Officials with a faith based organization out of Richmond hosted a press conference Thursday afternoon in Russell County, Virginia outlining parent concerns over mandated Transgender- Issues and school policies. The Family Foundation advocates for policies based on Biblical principles and promoting strong families says Richmond’s attempt to mandate a one size fits all policy onto local communities, disrespects local control and parental rights of parents. The group was joined by community leaders and concerned parents in Russell County. Family Foundation also gave a report that included a legal perspective, update on a lawsuit challenging the Virginia Department of Education’s Model Policies for treatment of Transgender students in Virginia’s public schools.
