Virginia education and health officials release suggested K-12 student guidelines for return to the classroom
State education and health officials in Virginia released strongly recommended guidelines for students who will be returning to the classroom in a matter of weeks.
One baseline calls for all elementary school students, teachers, and staff to wear masks until a COVID vaccine is available for children 12 and under.
They also suggest that middle and high school students and personnel who are unvaccinated wear a mask. The suggested rules also ask school systems to confer with their legal counsel about requiring proof of vaccination cards for each student that could fall under checks for other required shots for entry.
