Police: Johnson City Walmart worker stole $24,000 over six months

An employee at a Johnson City Walmart was arrested Monday after management filed a police report accusing her of stealing thousands of dollars.

Lisa May Leonard, 53, is charged with one count of theft over $10,000.

Preliminary information from police says Leonard stole $24,000 over a six-month period. She was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and issued a $7,500 bond.

Leonard has an arraignment hearing scheduled in Sessions Court on Tuesday.
