Gas Prices In Virginia Move Downward Slightly
It’s been a while since we talked about gas prices in the region. In Virginia, prices of fuel have moved downward slightly in the past week, averaging two dollars and 98 cents per gallon. As it stands, gas prices are 92 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to Gas Buddy’s daily survey. The lowest price in the Commonwealth is listed at two dollars and 68 cents. The highest price was three dollars and 43 cents per gallon. GasBuddy says the slight reduction in price is being fueled largely by a continued global surge in COVID-19 cases and concern that fuel demand may shrink as more companies table return to work plans and the summer driving season comes to an end.
