TVA, To Soon Begin Boone Lake Draw Down, For Winter Flooding Season

It was a seven year long reconstruction project at Boone Dam that left water levels at the lake drastically low. Those levels were recently raised back up to near normal levels for most of the summer. But after Labor Day, Boone Lake will be drawn down, this time for its annual preparation for the winter flooding season. You can expect an estimated three to four foot drop in water levels each month.
