Attempted murder suspect from Wise County, Virginia arrested at Johnson City hospital

A man wanted for serious felonies out of Wise County, Virginia has been arrested in Johnson City.

Police issued a report on the Monday afternoon arrest of Austin Fisher of Appalachia who was a patient at a city hospital. Fisher was taken into custody following his discharge after agencies found active warrants for him on attempted first-degree murder and malicious wounding.

Fisher is in jail in Jonesborough and is charged in Tennessee with evading arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court on Tuesday.
