Man Leads SWVA Authorities On High Speed Chase, Crashes, Police Find Substantial Amount Of Meth And Gun
A 25 year old man is jailed after leading police on a high speed chase, crashing his vehicle when authorities then discover a substantial amount of Methamphetamine and a loaded weapon in the suspects possession. The Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office says, 25 year old Matthew Blankenship was driving over 70 miles per hour in a 55 zone and lead police on a chase that ended when, Blankenship hit two vehicles and crashed in the intersection of Porterfield Highway in Abingdon. Blankenship, now faces seven separate charges including Felony Evading Arrest, Reckless Driving and Drugs and loaded Weapon charges.
