Decision Expected This Month On Permits For Southwest Virginia Production Of Cannabis Based Medicine
Two southwest Virginia localities will find out later this month if they will receive one of five permits that will allow for the production of cannabis based medicine. Officials with the former Bristol Mall and a Lebanon, Virginia site have applied for a permit with the Virginia Pharmacy board. The committee considered dozens of applications from across the Commonwealth. The Bristol and Lebanon sites are vying for one license in the Health District three which included areas from Roanoke to Lee County. The Virginia Pharmacy Board is expected to announcement September 25th.
