Lee County school bus accident under investigation

The Virginia State Police said that they are investigating a school bus crash that happened Thursday morning. The report says they received a call around 8:58 a.m. for a Lee County school bus that had been rear-ended at the intersection of Route 58 and Hobbs Hollow Road in Pennington Gap. The bus was stopped with lights flashing with children waiting to board, and 2 children already on the bus. That’s when a vehicle rear-ended the bus. None of the children were injured, but the bus driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was sited for following to closely.
