Another big Eastman delivery hits the highway Wednesday

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is warning drivers about another oversized transport hitting the road.

TDOT spokesperson Mark Nagi said the delivery will occupy both Interstate 40 and Interstate 81 northbound for its Wednesday journey with plans to dock the load at Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport. A 17-foot piece of machinery weighing in at more than 400,000 pounds arrived at the plant earlier this week.

Motorists traveling in East Tennessee should be aware of an oversized load that will be working its way from Knoxville to Kingsport on Wednesday, July 10.
