ETSU reserves space for some incoming students at Carnegie Hotel
ETSU has reserved a block of the Carnegie Hotel for students to move into before the start of the school year. About 1,300 first year students have been moving into their dorm rooms at ETSU. By next week, 3,400 students will be back on campus for the fall semester. As demand has increased at ETSU, the university has struggled to provide the housing to meet the demand. Alternative housing through nearby hotels has filled the void. ETSU officials think the university will be able to move students out of that arrangement faster than in the past. The university estimates that initially, around 20 -30 students will be temporarily housed at the Carnegie Hotel.
