Two voting precincts in Carter County relocating to new polling locations

Two voting precincts in Carter County are being relocated for the upcoming November general election due to flood damage. Carter County Administrator of Elections Tracy Harris says the Hampton High School precinct will be moving to Hampton Elementary. A precinct is already established at the elementary school, and the relocated precinct will be set up in a different area of the building. Elk Mills will be voting at the Little Milligan Elementary School in November. Cloudland High School was not impacted, and that voting precinct has not changed. Early voting starts October 16 continues until October 31. Early voters should report to the Carter County Election Office on Holston Avenue in Elizabethton. The Office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon.
