FEMA opens a Disaster Recovery Center in Unicoi County

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will open a Disaster Recovery Center in Unicoi County on Tuesday. The center will be at the National Guard Armory/Unicoi Emergency Operations Center on South Main Avenue in Erwin. The Center will operate 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The deadline to apply for FEMA disaster assistance is Monday, December 2. You can apply online, with the free App or call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362. TEMA has opened three Multi-Agency Resource Centers, where you can speak with representatives from TEMA and FEMA, the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and Multiple state and local organizations there and ready to assist.
