Disaster Center at BMS providing more than supplies
With several weeks of work ahead of them, operators of the Northeast Tennessee Disaster Relief Center at Bristol Motor Speedway will continue to need volunteers to help get items organized then shipped out to neighbors in need.
Center Director Amanda Delp said the facility’s call center needs operators to speak with flood victims who are not only looking for suggestions on rebuilding.
“A lot of people just need to know there are friends out there,” said Delp. “They need to know that we have each other’s back and we have had a lot in the call center tell us that people…just want to tell their story.”
You can sign up to volunteer or give a financial contribution to help victims by visiting BristolMotorSpeedway.com and click on the Northeast Tennessee Disaster Relief banner on the homepage.
