WCSO responds to 911 domestic call, arrests man hiding in crawl space

Washington County TN Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 37 year old Joseph S. Kuscsik of Erwin, on October 29 for Aggravated Domestic Assault, Aggravated Kidnapping, Evading Arrest and three counts of Interfering with an Emergency Call. Deputies responded to a 911 hang up call in the 300 block of Little Germany Road shortly after midnight. The victim opened the door and stated that Kuscsik was in the bedroom. As Deputies approached, he fled the residence. The victim said Kuscsik had drug her down the steps and struck her repeatedly and told deputies that she waited until he fell asleep to attempt calling 911. Deputies found Kuscsik hiding in the crawl space under the residence and eventually took him into custody. During his transport to the Washington County Detention Center, Kuscsik made additional threats. He is being held without bond and will appear in court on October 30.
