Investigation launched after White Pine disabled 5-year-old found deceased

The death of a 5-year-old child is being investigated in the town of White Pine.

A police report said the disabled male juvenile was reportedly in cardiac arrest when emergency help was requested at a home on Harrison Road just after 2:30 pm Tuesday.

The policemen discovered the child dead when they arrived. A person at the house was arrested on unrelated charges. The body has been sent to Knoxville for an autopsy.
