Remains of Man Missing Since June Found

The body of a man missing since June has been found, according to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

The remains of Lynn Akers were found over the weekend on land owned by his family.

His body has been taken to the Quillen College of Medicine for and autopsy and x-rays.

Akers was 55 years old and last heard from his family in June.

Alongside the autopsy a death investigation will be conducted by the sheriff’s office.
