Buchanan County Man Gets Life Plus Ten In Nearly Ten Year Old Murder Trial

A Grundy Virginia man has been recommended a life sentence plus ten more years by a jury in Buchanan County for the brutal murder of a man nearly ten years ago. 45 year old Travis Wade Spence was convicted of murdering Greg Brown in March of 2009. An error in the sentencing phase of the trial resulted in Spence receiving a new hearing. The jury closed the nearly ten year old case with the sentencing recommendation.
