Atmos Confirms Three Injured in Gas Line Repair Incident in Bristol Wednesday Morning
A gas line repair incident near Cootie Brown’s in Bristol, TN Wednesday has sent three Atmos Energy employees to the hospital.
Initial reports this morning said only two were injured, however, officials with Atmos can now confirm three were injured. Crews were working on repairing a gas line at the intersection of Anderson Street and Volunteer Parkway when the incident occurred, injuring three workers. Fire crews were on seen shortly after the incident occurred and those workers were to taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
The scene around the area where the explosion happened is now secure. Atmos is investigating the incident.
